The small village of Samara in Costa Rica is 4 hours from San José on the Pacific coast. Samara is south of the Nicoya Peninsula in the province of Guanacaste.

Distributed in the park, each of the 10 lodges of different size and architecture make our hotel a unique place. Thanks to a dry climate and optimum sunshine, the park shines with its tropical flowers. And depending on the season, the majestic guanacaste is adorned with its small white pompom-shaped flowers.
The Flying Crocodile’s restaurant offers a delicious sweet and savory breakfast in the morning. While every evening, a unique “homemade” dish is made based on fresh seasonal products carefully selected from local producers.

In the 2 hectare park of the hotel, nature lovers can admire the lush flora and observe animals such as howler monkeys, coatis. But also scattered in the park are reproductions of statuettes from the pre-Columbian era and the spheres called bolas, classified as a UNESCO heritage, exhibited at the National Museum of San José.

Depending on the season, near the Flying Crocodile hotel, you can witness the hatcking and first steps of the baby sea turtles, heading immediately towards the Pacific Ocean. Indeed, the ASVO protection and care center for sea turtles is located at the end of Buena Vista beach. Did you know that sea turtles have inhabited the earth for 200 million years? Currently, there are 5 species of turtles in Costa Rica: Green, Black, Caret, Ridley, Luth.

There are the popular beach known for surfing, fishing…. and those, not as well known, where you might find yourself completely alone. You can also go horseback riding on the beach and in the jungle.
